On Thursday, a photo was shared by NBC affiliate WLEX on Facebook of a carton of 18 eggs priced at $2. “Spotted at Walmart Harrodsburg,” the caption read. Another person commented, “The Swifties really did it didn’t they,” referring to a Grammys incident where host Trevor Noah begged Taylor Swift’s devoted following to cut egg costs. “They can truly accomplish anything.” One person reasoned that their egg prices were slashed due to them getting close to expiring; however, a Walmart employee who worked there said, “All new dates we got pallets of them come get your eggs.”
