Gallery: First Look At Pineville North Carolina’s New Greenway
My wife and I took advantage of the great weather earlier this week to explore the Little Sugar Creek Greenway in Pineville. When we got to the James K. Polk Historic Site, we were happy to see that an extension of the greenway is nearing completion. Feeling adventurous, we rode our bikes along much of the new portion and took a lot of pictures. It’s beautiful! Here is your first look at Pineville, North Carolina’s new greenway.
Much of the Little Sugar Creek Greenway extension south of the Polk Historical Site is still under construction, but we were able to access it and found a few other bikers and walkers who were enjoying the new outdoor space.
For our trip, we brought our bikes to a greenway access point on South Boulevard near 485. Northward from there, the Little Sugar Creek Greenway extends all the way up to Tyvola Road and beyond. We went south, under 485 and through Pineville, never having to worry about automobile and truck traffic.
I took a lot of pictures because I was excited to share this amazing active living space with our readers. Check out the photos below.
