78 Year Old Vietnam Veteran Graduates From This North Carolina University

I went to college right after high school.  Even with my young 17 year old brain it was difficult to make it to graduation. It isn’t easy graduating even if everything lines up perfectly.  It takes support, patience, time and skills. Imagine if you were a senior citizen? A 78 year old Vietnam veteran graduates from this North Carolina University.

Craig Pergerson is 78 years old and he showed the kids how it’s done at Appalachian State University in Boone, North Carolina recently.  He walked across that stage after a lifetime of living to accept his degree.  And his degree is not an easy one to achieve.  He has a bachelor of science degree is business administration with an emphasis in marketing.  Appalachian State University’s social media page says “thank you for your service, congratulations on your perseverance!” What an inspiration!  Wanna know more about this amazing new college graduate?  Get all the details right here. The Top 20 Companies for Remote Jobs in North Carolina In 2023

Working remotely is growing exponentially in popularity and opportunities. While it’s not for me, at least not 100% of the time, many many people are fans. In fact, I know several people who would never consider an office job anymore. And for a lot of people, the new year can mean looking for a new job. If that sounds like you then you’ll want to be aware of the companies hiring most work-at-home employees. If you’re in North Carolina and in the market for a remote job, FlexJobs has released its 10th annual “Top 100 Companies to Watch for Remote Jobs” list.

In the study, they note that between 2021 and 2022, “FlexJobs saw a 20% increase in the number of remote job listings on the site, compared with just 12% the previous year. And with the wider adoption of remote work came more variety in job titles and career levels. While a majority of positions were for experienced-level jobs (62%), manager and senior-level roles claimed 32% of the remote job listings. The remaining 6% of postings were attributed to entry-level jobs.”

So, which companies are hiring the most at-home workers right now? Below you’ll find the top 20 companies for remote jobs. While some are household names, others do more of the behind-the-scenes work. An “on-demand workforce expert,” the company believes that flexible work arrangements translate to decreased overhead expenses, “a borderless recruiting pool,” and more focused and productive team members.”
