Three Of The Most Dangerous Species On The Planet
Earth is home to many different types of animals. Some are cute, others not so much. According to Ninja Journalist, Earth is also home to many dangerous creatures. Here is a list of just three of the many scary animals on this planet.
Blue-Ringed Octopus
This octopus is found in New South Wales, Western and Southern Australia. Many think this octopus is cute and friendly because of its small size. However, they are one of the most dangerous marine animals in the world. They won’t sting unless provoked, but if a human is stung, the venom that this octopus releases is powerful enough to kill.
Hippopotamus
The hippopotamus may seem like it can’t run very fast due to its large body and stubby legs, but this dangerous creature can run over 19 mph to catch its prey. Although the hippopotamus is mostly herbivorous, it is extremely aggressive and territorial. If you did somehow stumble upon a hippo, stay far away. If you don’t, provoking the 3,300-pound animal may be the last thing you ever do.
Siafu Ants
Even though ants are small, there is power in numbers for this creature. Siafu ants aka driver ants are a creature that you definitely do not want to mess with. When they feel threatened or are attacked they respond aggressively. The entire swarm will come together in these situations to attack the perceived danger. That could be around 50 million ants at once. When these ants bite they bite hard and don’t let go. Occasionally, even after their prey is dead, their jaws stay clamped on the carcass.
