Freight Train Destroys Car In Durham, North Carolina
Even if you’re intoxicated, train tracks seem like the last place you’d want to park your car. But authorities say that’s just what happened Friday night and it resulted in a big mess. A freight train crashed into a car parked on railroad tracks in Durham, North Carolina Friday night, police say.
It happened just before 11 p.m. on Glover Road near Angier Avenue. According to WRAL-TV, a drunk driver parked the car on the tracks and left it. The driver was not in the car at the time of the crash and no one was injured.
The driver, who was located by police after the incident, was charged with driving while impaired, driving without a license and other violations.
