Major Retailer Will Hit The Mark With New South Carolina Location Later This Year
Oh wow, did somebody say my neck of the woods is getting a new store? My ears perked up. And, yes a major retailer will hit the mark with a new location in South Carolina. Well, specifically Indian Land, South Carolina. But, which major retailer are we talking about? A new South Carolina Target plans to open later this year in Indian Land.
According to WBTV, the new South Carolina Target will be located off U.S. 521 near Transformation Church and the YMCA. That area is the CrossRidge Center. And, I am excited because I pass that area every day. It’s a great location not too far from Ballantyne and I-485. But, for me, the convenience is amazing since I actually live in Indian Land. And, currently my options for Target are the ones in Blakeney Shopping Center off Ardrey Kell in Charlotte, Stonecrest or Monroe. Even though there’s one in Rock Hill off Dave Lyle Boulevard, it’s just not as easy to get to for us Indian Land folks as one would hope.
But, if I remember correctly the area planned for the new South Carolina Target is near where the Costco is supposedly going in eventually. The story says the CrossRidge Center development will include shopping, restaurants and more by 2026. And, the Target opens reportedly late third quarter of this year. The CrossRidge development is meant to be a place for area residents to enjoy walking trails and a park in addition to the retail shops and restaurants. And, of course, it’s not too far from the new Amp Ballantyne amphitheater. That’s a fantastic outdoor music venue hosting live events and food trucks seasonally.
So, I will definitely keep my eyes open for more concerning news about the new South Carolina Target. For more, read the full story from WBTV.
