Your NC Quick Pass Transponder Now Works In More States
Thanks to a recent technology upgrade, your NC Quick Pass transponder now works in more states.
According to the North Carolina Department of Transpotation, all customers with a transponder can now pay tolls anywhere E-ZPass is accepted. That means North Carolina travelers can now use their NC Quick Pass transponder in 19 states. Previously, the North Carolina’s transponder only worked in North Carolina, Georgia and Florida.
Officials put together a handy guide on where the transponders will now work. Coverage now includes most of the Eastern seaboard, and westward into the Great Lakes region.
There are some stipulations. Sticker transponders cannot be used to travel HOV (High Occupancy Vehicle) lanes out of state. But customers can use the NC Quick Pass Flex transponder for HOV travel in E-ZPass states will applicable HOV options. \
