Trader Joes Recall Over Marker Contamination
According to Fox5, a bunch of Trader Joe’s dumplings have been recalled because of a possible contamination with foreign materials. This recall was recently announce by the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS).
Around 62,000 pounds of steamed chicken dumplings have been recalled. These dumplings, called “TRADER JOE’S Steamed Chicken Soup Dumplings,” may contain plastic shards from a permanent marker.
The chicken dumplings were created on Dec. 7, 2023. They come in 6-oz. boxes that contain six pieces in a plastic tray. The lot codes for the recalled boxes are “03.07.25.C1-1” and “03.07.25.C1-2.” The establishment number for the chicken soup dumplings is “P-46009.”
These dumplings were shipped to Trader Joe’s locations nationwide.
This contamination was found after the manufacturer got complaints from consumers claiming that they found hard pieces of plastic in the dumplings. Those who have bought these dumplings should throw them away or return them to where they purchased them. No injuries or reactions have been reported so far according to the FSIS.
