Shane's Rib Shack in Spartanburg posted the announcement on their Facebook page. It reads in part: 'Who's lowering prices in this economy? We are! We understand how tough it is out there and want to make sure you're getting the most out of your hard earned money. We've lowered prices on over half of our menu...'
How awesome is that? Even if it won't solve all our money problems it's nice to know at least someone acknowledges the struggle. Shane's Rib Shack in Spartanburg, the South Carolina restaurant lowering prices, is located at 1735 John B. White Sr. Blvd. And, customers appreciate their baby back ribs, bbq, smoked chicken and all the traditional trimmings. Plus, Shane's also offers burgers, wings, salads and delicious homemade peach cobbler.
So, in scrolling the menu I noticed many of their prices ring in lowered than many drive thru fast food joints and fast casual restaurants. Kudos to this South Carolina restaurant lowering its prices to help customers keep more of their hard earned money.

And, there really is someone named Shane at the heart of Shane's Rib Shack. Shane Thompson started his first 'Shack' in Georgia with his wife, Stacey in 2002 after giving up his corporate job.
Shane's grandfather, 'Big Dad,' told him, "Do what you love, and do it better than anybody else." So, 'Big Dad' passed along a solid work ethic and an amazing secret sauce recipe. And now, Shane's has locations in 8 states including the Carolinas.

The 15 Best Charlotte North Carolina BBQ Restaurants
Here in North Carolina, we love our barbeque. And we do it well if I may so so myself. There is no shortage of fantastic restaurants across the state and the Queen City is no exception to that. But if you only can eat at one which should you choose? While I have my favorite (and it didn't make this list near the top), I decided to turn to the public for their thoughts on the matter. A quick search on TripAdvisor led me to a list of 30 Charlotte BBQ restaurants. It included chains, multiple locations of some, the heavy hitters, and some I hadn't heard of before. For this list, I took the top 15 restaurants (combining anywhere that had multiple locations).
Trip Advisor compiles these rankings based on average rating and number of reviews. Therefore you will see a couple of places that are ranked higher with a slightly lower rating. This means they probably had a higher number of higher-rated reviews. I have to say for the most part I do agree with this list the top 3 didn't surprise me at all and I feel could have been ranked in any order.
