Huge North Carolina Festival Set For May 17-19
One of the most premier agricultural festivals in the country is set to return to the Tar Heel State, May 17-19, as the Got To Be Festival will once again set up shop on the North Carolina State Fairgrounds.
What Is The Got To Be Festival?
North Carolina Agriculture Commissioner Steve Troxler puts it best in The Daily Record, “Come out to the Got to Be NC Festival and help us celebrate the industry that feeds us all — N.C. agriculture and agribusiness. This marks the festival’s 15th year and it continues to grow in popularity.”
Is There Food At The Got To Be Festival?
You’re kidding, right? the Food Lion Local Goodness Marketplace in the Agri Supply Expo Center will be the place to be. Available there will be scrumptious food products and beverages from more than 75 Got To Be North Carolina member food companies, wineries, and breweries. In other words, PLENTY of food and drive for everyone, every taste, and every age in the family. Admission to the Marketplace is only $3. Can’t beat that.
Tractor Lovers Will Be All About The Got To Be Festival
I have a cousin who as a child was obsessed with tractors. He had a toy tractor in every color shape and size, and they went with him everywhere. He would be hard to control at The Got To Be Festival. Antique tractors of all varieties and early farm equipment will be on display on the festival’s midway. Oh, and those tractors? There’s a daily parade of antique tractors held every day of the festival. It will begin promptly at 1pm and run from the Martin Building on the midway and winds through the festival grounds.
Talk To Me About Kids Stuff At The Got To Be Festival
Get ready for PLENTY of fun for the kiddos. And hello, they’re free! For starters there’s the John Deere pedal tractor course, make-and-take crafts, and the always fun to watch, dairy milking exhibit. Oh, and as an added bonus, festival goers can help celebrate Smokey Bear’s 80th birthday! Saturday at 10;30am you can sign his birthday banner and hear his story. Wait, who doesn’t want a post-able moment and here it is. Smokey Bear and the N.C. State Fair’s Casey Cardinal will pose for pictures.
It’s all shaping up to be a fantastic event. The Got To Be Festival, returning to the North Carolina State Fairgrounds May 17-19.
