It Was A Tragic Day In Country Music

I remember like it was yesterday.  And it was truly one of  the saddest occurrences in the history of country music.  The day Reba McEntire lost almost her entire band (7 members) and road manager in a plane crash.

It was 1991.  The night before she’d played a concert in California.  Two private planes were chartered.  Reba though, decided to stay overnight with her stylist and manager/husband Narvel Blackstock.

The others went on.  Tragically.

Now, the etherial looking graphic below on her Instagram displays one of her songs, “If I Had Only Known,” from her For My Broken Heart album, which she dedicated to the deceased. “28 years ago today…If I had only known. Rest in peace my friends.”

I lost a friend unexpectedly last week.  None of us are promised tomorrow, so make sure you tell everyone how you feel about them today.
