Jake Owen’s Emotional “Homemade” Movie
When Jake Owen originally released the video for his latest song, “Homemade” you could not help but notice it ended on a cliffhanger with this ominous screen:
Turns out…”To Be Continued” meant that Jake was going to continue to tell this story with an almost 14 minutes mini-movie. The video is the true story of the love affair that is Jake’s grandparents (now married for 71 years).
We first got wind of this project back in August.
And yes, that is Owen’s actual grandparents, Bryan Yancey Owen and Jean Martin, narrating this Notebook-like video. It tells the story from how they met, were separated by war, and later reunited in the 1940s.
As a hopeless romantic, I love it.
