Senior Shoutouts-Sidney Clare Russell
For this Senior Shoutout, we head to Rock Hill and shine our spotlight for the first time on York Preparatory Academy’s Sidney Clare Russell.
Sidney has played volleyball since 5th grade and has now been offered a position and scholarship at Spartanburg Methodist starting this fall. She also works at Food Lion and takes classes at York Technical College.
She has had a goal to get a scholarship to college, and play volleyball at college level, and she has accomplished that goal! Sidney was unable to have a “Signing Day” because of the cancellation of schools due to Covid-19.
Sidney, we know the end of your Senior Year was not what you envisioned, but we stand with your family, proud of you and your accomplishements, and looking forward to what your next steps will be.
