Jessica Chastain To Play Tammy Wynette In TV Series
Jessica Chastain (“Zero Dark Thirty,” “Molly’s Game”) has signed on to play country music legend Tammy Wynette. The series will be based on the book written by Tammy’s daughter Georgette Jones titled, “The Three of Us: Growing Up With Tammy and George.”
So how will you see it? Well, in today’s complicated world of TV consumption, follow along. “George and Tammy” will run exclusively on the Spectrum cable network for nine months and then after that the series will air on the CBS All Access streaming network and Paramount Network.
There’s no questioning her acting skills, but does/will Jessica sing? And what about her famous red hair? Dye or wig to play “The First Lady of Country Music.”
Josh Brolin was originally slated to play George Jones, but it’s unclear if he will still be in the role.
