Finally, A GOOD Story About Sports Fans
The irony of this story is not lost on me. Less than two weeks ago, New York Yankees fans in the right field stands were taunting and throwing trash at visiting, Cleveland Guardians players. It was an ugly scene and played into the stereotype of Yankees fans being among the worst behaved in sports.
Now for the irony. The Yankees were visiting the Toronto Blue Jays last night. Yankee outfielder Aaron Judge (pictured above) launches his ninth home run of the season into the second deck in left field. The ball is caught by a Blue Jays fan-who immediately gives the ball to a young Yankees fan wearing an Aaron Judge jersey. The moment shared between the two is amazing.
Never let it be said that I only post stories of poor fan behavior. My hat is off to this Toronto man and my faith in humanity in the world of sports has been restored…for now.
