Waffle House Waitress Makes HOW MUCH In Tips?!
The Waffle House. What makes it great? In a word, consistency. The Waffle House great. The food? Never fancy, always consistently good. The staff? Never fancy, always consistently pleasant and efficient. Wait, there’s something else that is consistent about The Waffle House: the prices. The Waffle House is consistent in its affordability. I’ve spent FAR more money for breakfast in restaurants that I’ve walked way saying, “That wasn’t even as good as Waffle House.” So, that’s the reason I’d think there’s no way a server can get rich working there. Apparently, I’m wrong.
Maya is a personal trainer during the week. Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, Maya works at The Waffle House. I love how she described her tips over the weekend as “decent.” How about the stacks she pulled out of her Waffle House apron? My girl made $343 on Sunday, $258 on Saturday and $45 on Friday (she only worked for an hour and a half on Friday). Tips alone, Maya did around $700 for the weekend. Multiply that times four and she’s tipping out and nearly three thousand a month. At The Waffle House. Damn. The responses to the video echo my thoughts. Like this one: “You make more than me and I work in the ICU … applying to waffle house rn !” Wait, pump the brakes. Maya came back with another video.
So perhaps not time to quit the radio gig for The Waffle House…yet! <g>
