They had me at ‘Smoked Tequila’ . A new and unusual Mexican restaurant is opening in North Carolina. The good news for those of us who love Mexican food and would love something different is, it’s here in Charlotte.
It is called Casa del Tequila and they are not afraid to use the beverage in just about everything. Of course they will be serving burritos, fajitas and the usual Mexican fare. But I will be there for the items that you just can’t get anywhere else.
I love to eat outside the box and the choices at Casa del Tequila look endless. I am looking forward to their steak and seafood dishes. Shrimp submerged in citrus juices with cucumber, red onion and avocados, smoked tequilla steak and more. Their claim to fame is “made from scratch authentic family recipes”. And it looks like they are not afraid to make it spicy! To learn more get all the details from the Charlotte Observer.
These Are North Carolina's Top Ten Country Love Songs
Is there anything better than being in true sweet love? No genre of music moves love along better than country music. We all have our favorite. But these are North Carolina’s favorite country love songs. We went straight to the experts and surveyed over five thousand country music fans in both North and South Carolina through social media. And then put together a list of the top ten best country love songs from 1995 til now.
My first crush was a little boy in my Shelby neighborhood, shout out to “Doug”. Doug gave me my very first case of butterflies in the stomach. One day I got up the courage to ask Doug to be my boyfriend. He said yes and gave me a peck on the cheek. The George Strait song, “Check Yes or No” leaps to mind. I knew right then I wanted that feeling to last forever. Doug and I did not last. But other loves came along periodically along the way. No genre does love better than country music. Every story song takes you right back as if you never left that particular relationship.
There are so many great country love songs. Really the list is endless. Even though I have been playing country music on the radio for a couple of decades now, I needed five thousand plus local country music fans to let me know their favorites. You delivered some great ones.
