Ratings king ‘Yellowstone’ is in danger of coming to an end because of a potential scheduling conflict with Kevin Costner. Would you be ok with Matthew McConaughey filling Kevin Costner’s shoes on ‘Yellowstone’?
According to Deadline, Costner wants to free up more time to focus on his next western film, Horizon, which he is directing and starring in. Because of that Yellowstone could end this summer at the end of season 5.
Have no fear, another replacement for a main character could be on the way. In a statement Paramount Network said “We have no news to report, Kevin Costner is a big part of Yellowstone and we hope that is the case for a long time to come. Thanks to the brilliant mind of Taylor Sheridan, we are always working on franchise expansions of this incredible world he has built. Matthew is a phenomenal talent with whom we would love to partner”. More details from People magazine.
