It seems like every day there is a new survey on the best place to find this or that. The best place to find barbecue, the best beach, the best small town etc etc. One website breaks it down for us with the must visit restaurants in both North Carolina and South Carolina.
247wallst.com has scoured and I mean scoured the country for the must visit restaurant in each state. They compiled their results based on multiple sites that specialize in rating and grading places to eat. They also sent out their own “foodies” to see if those sites were right. Here is what they found out.
In the tar heel state, the experts agree that The Chicken Hut is the best must visit restaurant in North Carolina. Shout out to Durham!! What makes this place at 3019 Fayettville Street so special? Everything is good! From the fried Chicken to the dumplings to the pork chops to the pigs feet. Southern comfort food at its finest.
Let’s check in on South Carolina. According to 24/7wallst.com, The must visit restaurant there is Peninsula Grill in Charleston. You apparently have got to try their 12 layer coconut cake. The she crab soup is reportedly out of this world and so are the pan seared scallops. Yum!

Here Are The 5 Best Steakhouses In North Carolina
I try and stick to chicken and fish most of the time. Every now and then, I have got to have a steak. Sadly, in the small town I live in there is not a steakhouse. So I did a little digging and here are the 5 best steakhouses in North Carolina.
I was so relieved to find that many of the best steak houses in North Carolina are close. Very close. Regardless of how you like them, nothing quite satisfies like a delicious piece of meat in the cut of your choice. I am a ribeye girl but occasionally order the filet. Chain steakhouses just don’t quite satisfy sometimes. We do grill at home. A little trip to the butcher department of your favorite grocery store, about an hour to sous vide then put that baby on the grill.
What if you don’t have the time to prepare your own steak and you just want to go into your favorite steakhouse? Order what you like, add on a delicious side, and don’t forget a refreshing cocktail. A nice night out sounds just about right. The “Best Things In North Carolina” website has done the research for us and found the five best steakhouses in North Carolina.
