I love dogs, all dogs.  However, I was not familiar with this particular breed until I read this story.  According to The Chicago Tribune, a dog co-owned by famous country superstar Tim McGraw scored a win at the Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show.  The “bracco Italiano” won the breed’s debut this year.  And, the dog named “Lepshi” belongs to McGraw, Kristi and Tony Libertore and Jenell Tonini-Zanotto.

And, the Italian hunting breed with the trademark trot just became eligible to compete this year.  Lepshi took the win over 8 other competitors in his breed.  Furthermore, the handler bragged about the dog’s demeanor and called him “a wonderful ambassador for the breed.”

And, according to the story the McGraw family is partial to the breed at home.  If you follow Tim on social media you may have seen his posts featuring the beloved pets singing along with the family.

The best female competitor of breed belongs to Siva Aiken.  And, she points out that this breed needs lots of activity and often roam several miles a day.  Siva lives in South Carolina near a large nature preserve.

So, congrats to the dog co-owned by famous country superstar Tim McGraw.  Lepshi represented his breed proudly and brought home an impressive win.  Read more about the breed and reactions from his handler in the full story.
