NC Quick Pass? There’s An App For That!
There’s now an app for managing your NC Quick Pass. Officials with the company that runs the state’s toll roads just announced that the new NC Quick Pass app is available in the Apple App Store and through Google Play.
In the app, NC Quick Pass users can manage accounts, order new transponders or add a new vehicle. Toll road users who don’t have a NC Quick Pass transponder can use the app to pay bills they receive by mail. If you have a transponder, you can monitor your account balance at a glance.
I’ve called NC Quick Pass customer service on multiple occasions and always received excellent customer care. One of those calls was just last week when I added a transponder for my wife’s car. The new app technology will reduce the number of calls to NC Quick Pass customer service, but if you prefer a human touch you can still call 877-769-7277.
For me, the best feature of the new NC Quick Pass app is the ability to set High Occupancy Vehicle status on or off. HOV toll lane travel is free for vehicles with three or more people in the car. With the app, drivers can set HOV status before hitting the road. For more information about the app or North Carolina’s toll roads, visit the NC Quick Pass site.
