South Park Shopping Center Will Look A Little Different When This Longtime Specialty Retailer Moves Out
If you spend any time shopping the South Park area, you undoubtedly know about The Orvis Co. specialty retailer. The store made its home in Phillips Place for many years. However, The Orvis Co. announced plans to move to a new spot in spring of 2024.
So, if you enjoy shopping the specialty retailer, you’ll soon find them in Strawberry Hill. According to WSOC-TV, the existing longtime home for The Orvis Co. in Phillips Place remains open until the new store is ready. Therefore, shoppers won’t notice any disruption in business. The real estate director for the store said, “It should be a seamless transition that prevents us from being dark in the market at all.”
And, as for the new spot, it’s several thousand square feet of space that once housed a drug store. Strawberry Hill shopping center sits at Fairview Road and Providence Road. Fresh Market anchors the bustling center. And, one of our all time favorite Tex-Mex spots is there also. Y’all, if you haven’t tried Superica you have to!
Anyway, if you aren’t familiar with The Orivs Co., they’re known for their fly-fishing and outdoor apparel. They also offer men’s and women’s sportswear. I’ve shopped their luggage and travel gear, too. They even have dog beds! It’s high-end and great quality stuff. So, that’s a special dog! But, aren’t they all?
In the past, I mostly shopped Orvis online. But, we stopped in at the Phillips Place location a few times. And, it’s an impressive product line.
