Upcoming Hilton Head Wine And Food Festival Offers A Tasty Sip And Stroll
Give me a beautiful day, a glass of wine and some friends and I’m a happy girl. And, the upcoming Hilton Head wine and food festival is just the ticket. Coming up March 24-30, the festival offers tasty food, wine auctions and a very popular sip and stroll.
Of course it’s a good time for sure. However, there’s a nice charitable aspect to the Hilton Head wine and food festival. The Facebook post I ran across indicated the festival began proudly supporting the community 39 years ago. And, proceeds from the wine auction and tasting events benefit the John F. & Valerie Currie Educational Scholarship Fund. The scholarship helps students pursuing degrees in hospitality and tourism at the University of South Carolina Beaufort and The Technical College of the Lowcountry. Now, on with the events at this year’s festival.
Uncorked at Hilton Head Wine and Food Festival
This activity takes place March 21 from 6:30 to 8:30 at Shipyard Beach Club, Hilton Head. And, it’s the official kick off of the Hilton Head wine and food festival. The post describes it as a ‘riff on the famous Open That Bottle Night.’ And, as you might imagine, it involves opening and sharing bottles and memories with friends. The festival encourages visitors to bring their favorite bottle to share those happy memories and create new ones.
Craft Beers at the Beach
So, this part of the festival takes place on March 24 from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Westin Hilton Head Island Resort and Spa. Guests at this event enjoy an afternoon of sipping offerings from more than 50 local craft breweries. Plus, there’s live music and food!
Sip & Stroll
And finally, the festival culminates in the popular sip & stroll event on March 27 from 4 to 7 p.m. This event takes place at the Shops at Sea Pines Center. Visitors stroll a pop up art market while sipping their favorite glass. The restaurants are open for a bite during the event, as well. Plus, there’s live entertainment.
So, don’t delay. Get your wine and food festival tickets before they sell out!
