A North Carolina April Fool’s day joke made some mad. As a matter of fact, they were off their rockers. And here almost a year after the fact some people won’t laugh at that. Not one bit.
According to the Charlotte Observer, it happened back in 2023 when on April Fool’s Day the storm induced delays were mounting. So passengers were a little uneasy anyway. When this announcement came over their public address system.

The reaction was quick and swift and riddled with disgruntlement. One passenger from Raleigh tweeted, “screw that, the rockers are the best part of the airport”. “They are iconic and should be brought back” said another woman. Another man chimed in with “What marketing genius told you to do that, that was part of Charlotte”. Who knew those rockers were so beloved?

After the airport received a few more complaints about the missing chairs a tweet was sent out. They broke the April Fool’s Day news to passengers. “Happy April’s Fool’s Day! Though really worst joke ever. The rocking chairs aren’t going anywhere”. No word on if anyone actually enjoyed that joke.

So, where did April Fool’s Day get it’s start? It was a long time ago with the reform calendar back when Charles the 9th was on the throne. New Years Day was moved and that sent people in a tailspin back then.
