Popular North Carolina Taphouse And Grill Opening In Waxhaw
So, anyone who visits the Matthews, North Carolina area must be familiar with Jekyll and Hyde Taphouse and Grill. It's a fun pub like spot great for hanging with friends, grabbing a drink and bite.
And, as I was driving through downtown Waxhaw this week, I spotted a new sign on a building front. I was pleasantly surprised to see it read 'Jekyll & Hyde.'
Then, when I started searching for information online, I found a Facebook post announcing the popular North Carolina taphouse and grill opening in Waxhaw. The post indicated the signs had just gone up a few days ago.
And, Jekyll & Hyde folks were busy prepping the patio to welcome 'cozy furniture' and guests to the neighborhood. They went on to say the next step was getting the water meter from the county to set a grand opening date.

We have visited the Matthews location plenty of times and always enjoyed it. Jekyll & Hyde has some amazing burgers, wings, soups, salads, steaks and desserts.
Two of my faves are the Bourbon Bacon Burger and the Jalapeno Burger. And, you can't miss the Bacon Pimento Cheese Balls fried in panko with a sweet pepper jelly and bacon topping.
Plus, the newest trend among restaurants is the 'hanging bacon' or sometimes called 'clothesline bacon.' Jekyll & Hyde features 'Hyde's Hangin' Candy Bacon' smoked and sprinkled with black pepper and caramelized brown sugar.
So, we'll keep monitoring Jekyll & Hyde's social media pages to narrow in on the grand opening date announcement.
One commenter remarked on the post concerning the wait for the water meter, "Who needs water? Bring on the beers and the food!" Apparently, people are ready to welcome the popular North Carolina taphouse and grill opening in Waxhaw!
