Check Out The Most Dangerous Slide In America
We saw this on the “Today” show this morning and could not believe this was allowed to be open. Belle Isle Park in Detroit is a public park (ie it’s a city/county/government facility). Most of the time places like this are so fearful of insurance liability that they are buttoned up in terms of public safety. Apparently, this message was not heeded by the folks behind this old school giant slide. There’s a reason I said, “old school,” as a long time ago people went, “No, this is not a good idea.” Just check out the bodies flopping down this metal slide when it opened on Friday.
I feel like I need to make an appointment at the chiropractor just for looking at this! Watch it again. People are thrown around like rag dolls. Crazy. So, the slide opened on Friday. And it quickly closed on Friday. Park officials say adjustments have been made and now the slide is “safe.” Yeah…I’ll pass.
