Twins Born In Different Years
There are two types of childbirth stories that fascinate me. First and foremost, it’s children who are “THE Baby New Year.” These are the kids who are the first babies born in their cities/towns on January first each year. My curiosity about this REALLY hit overdrive when this lady came into our lives.
Chances are if you been to an event with the station in the last few years, you’ve met Melanie. She is awesome and totally saves our lives all the time. She also is a “Baby New Year.” Anyway, another childbirth interest for me (like a lot of people) is multiples. I went to school with several sets of twins (identical and fraternal), and their lives and personalities always interested me. So, you can just imagine how my voyeuristic curiosity was put into overdrive when I came across THIS story!
That’s right, you’re a twin, BUT you get to have your own birthday! How cool is this?! In Denton, Texas (where Debbie went to college-btw), Kaylee Jo Scott gave birth to her first twin, Annie Jo, at 11:55 p.m. on December 31st. Her second daughter, Effie Rose, was born at 12:01 a.m. The two came a couple of weeks early. This is not abnormal for multiple births-btw. In fact, two weeks early ISN’T bad. Both babies and mama are doing great.
