North Carolina Restaurant Tops Yelp’s List Of Most Romantic In State

One of the most romantic holidays is Valentine’s Day, right?   Well, in honor of Valentine’s Day, Yelp analyzed data across the nation to come up with the most romantic restaurants in each state.  After compiling the numbers from their reviews that included “romantic,” “date night” and “Valentine,” they completed the list.  Also, Yelp did not include spots that are currently part of a chain.   However, the types of foods featured vary from seafood, steaks, French to fancy personal pizzas.  So, I combed through the list and in some states close by I found that Canoe in Atlanta made Georgia’s list.  Alleia in Chattanooga made the top for Tennessee.  Then, if you’re in Virginia, the must visit is Luce in Norfolk.  Read on to find which North Carolina restaurant is one of Yelp’s most romantic.

First, which South Carolina restaurant is one of Yelp’s most romantic in the nation?   It’s Circa 1886 in Charleston.  It’s located in the original carriage house of the Wentworth mansion.  And, Circa 1886 is filled with romantic old world charm of Charleston.  Guests can choose tasting menus with dishes such as risotto, sous vide pork belly and striped bass.  Or, order a la carte features shrimp and grits, beef tenderloin or duck.  Therefore, Circa definitely seems worthy of the South Carolina restaurant to make it as one of Yelp’s most romantic in the nation.

So, in North Carolina, Yelp says making the top is The Cellar at Duckworth’s in Charlotte.  The Cellar is located on N. Tryon St. in Charlotte.  In keeping with a prohibition theme popular right now, it has that speakeasy feel both in architecture and vibe of staff dress.  And,the underground space dates back to 1912.  Plus, it bills itself as “an American Gastropub,” serving a chef-driven menu with specialty beers and craft cocktails.

Restaurants are in a variety of areas of Charlotte with a few additional options at the end in areas such as Rock Hill, Matthews, and Mooresville. You fill find places with a variety of cuisines and a range of price options. From white tablecloth dining to breweries and everything in between.
