Easter Bunny Express Is A Short Drive From Charlotte North Carolina
Oh, how I remember the days when our son was young and enjoyed Easter egg hunts, Spring related activities and train rides. We lived in Birmingham, Alabama when he was into Thomas the Train. And, I remember taking one of those train rides called “Day Out With Thomas.” Well, those traditions continue to this day at the North Carolina Transportation Museum. And, the aptly named “Easter Bunny Express” is a short drive from Charlotte, North Carolina. The museum sits just minutes off I-85 about an hour from Charlotte, Greensboro and Winston-Salem. And, the North Carolina Transportation Museum hosts Easter Bunny related activities four days during April this year. Their website indicates general admission tickets give visitors access to exhibits. Plus, this admission grants a visit with the bunny. The museum allows families to take their own photos. Or, visitors might choose to use the onsite professional for additional fees.
Also, an upgrade ticket gives guests a 25 minute ride aboard the Easter decorated train. And, the Easter Bunny hops on board to pass out treats to the kids. Furthermore, the museum hosts an Easter egg hunt on April 7 and 8 for various age groups up to 10 years old. Other Easter themed activities at the museum include meet and greet meals with the bunny on a railroad dining car. Some meal items feature bunny shaped pancakes as well as bunny shaped turkey sandwiches. All of the information about the Easter Bunny Express, activities, schedules and ticketing is on the museum’s website. And, plenty of other Easter hunts and adventures around the Charlotte area can be found on Charlotte On The Cheap. But, whatever you choose to do just cherish those moments because I know from experience they pass quickly!
