South Carolina Pepper Company With A Funny Name Is Topping Its Hottest Creation
I take my peppers seriously. As a native Texan I never met a pepper I didn’t like. However, the Carolina Reaper pushes the envelope. And now, WCNC reports that a South Carolina pepper company famous for the Carolina Reaper has a new creation that’s 3 times hotter. Plus, the store responsible for the pepper is nearby in Fort Mill, South Carolina.
So, if you visit PuckerButt Pepper Company on Main Street you find peppers to make even the most hardcore fan break a sweat. And, according to the report the South Carolina pepper company plans to debut “Pepper X” soon. “Pepper Master” Ed Currie of PuckerButt indicates the future “Pepper X” hits more than 3 million Scoville units. For those familiar with peppers, we know that’s the scale used to measure the heat from capsaicin concentration. And, capsaicin gives your favorite peppers their heat.
And, to put it into perspective, that measurement is hundreds of times more than the measure of heat in a jalapeno. So, that’s a record that might stand the test of time if all goes as planned. The Carolina Reaper holds the claim to “World’s Hottest Chili” from 2017. So, PuckerButt Pepper Company doesn’t mess around when it comes to the hot stuff.
The South Carolina pepper company got its start in 2003. And, in addition to peppers PuckerButt sells hot sauce, seeds and plenty of other pepper related products. Browsing their website, I saw products mixing sweet and heat. I absolutely love chocolate with chili peppers. And, PuckerButt has several varieties! Also, one of my favorite condiments is hot honey. And, they offer “Spicy Shark Hot Honey.” I’m very interested in exploring further.
So, be on the lookout for the introduction of this South Carolina pepper company’s new “Pepper X.” And, for more be sure to read the full story about PuckerButt. And, I dare you not to giggle when you say the name!
