Brand New Myrtle Beach Oceanfront Hotel Might Be On The Way
According to the Visit Myrtle Beach website, more than 19 million folks visit the area each year. And, my family is among them. So, when I read that a brand new Myrtle Beach oceanfront hotel might be on the way, I leaned in.
Where The Brand New Myrtle Beach Oceanfront Hotel Would Be
WPDE reports city council members in The Grand Strand took the first step toward making way for a new Myrtle Beach oceanfront hotel. A spokesperson for the city indicated the proposed hotel would be located along Ocean Boulevard and 23rd Avenue North.
And, according to the proposal, the new Myrtle Beach oceanfront hotel could soar 24 stories and be accompanied by a four level parking garage. Furthermore, other plans would add a mobile check in lot and room for as many as two restaurants including a poolside cafe.
What’s Next In The Approval Process For New Myrtle Beach Oceanfront Hotel
So, the next step will involve a second reading by the council. And, then the proposal could pass. And, WBTW reports the 255 room hotel would likely be Hilton Garden Inn and Home2Suites.
We vacation every year with friends in the Myrtle Beach area. So, we love visiting all the new attractions and restaurants popping up.
And, while there are some decent resorts and hotels, it would be nice to see something fresh and new. Many folks I know either stay with friends or rent condos and air b and b type situations.
But, something like this new Myrtle Beach oceanfront hotel project might breathe life into the area. Plus, there’s certainly enough visitors to support more accommodations. And, some of the amenities with terrace views, dining and ample parking are definitely a plus.
So, we’ll see how things play out. And, in the meantime we’ll monitor the situation and update when we learn what the Myrtle Beach city council decides. But, a project of this scale would take time before we ever see a finished product.
Therefore, check the above links for the full story as it stands. And, we’ll pack our patience waiting for the outcome!
