Mooresville Woman’s Holidays Now $150,000 Better Thanks To Lottery Win
I’ve got a new theory that I’m going to try out. As much as I report on other people’s good fortunes playing the lottery in both North and South Carolina, SURELY some of their luck HAS to wash over on to me, right? Okay, probably not, but I can dream.
The latest lucky lady comes to us from Mooresville, North Carolina (Iredell County). Deborah Ray found herself in “Fast Phil’s” on East Plaza Drive when she decided a $5 investment with the opportunity to win $150,000 was something that she was interested in.
Good to always listen to your instincts. “Holiday Cash 50X” was the ticket. The top prize was the $150,000 that Deborah won.
And then Deborah Ray did what any of us would do, race to the North Carolina Education Lottery office with haste. Last Wednesday, she arrived to claim $107, 251 (after Uncle Sam and the Tar Heel State both took their tax taste).
Now, I know some of you are thinking, “That sucks! She only got 2/3 of the prize?” Stop it. If I told you that you would wake up with an extra $100k in your bank account and you didn’t have to do anything more than donate $5 and scratch a card, are you really going to tell me you wouldn’t sign up for that? Exactly.
Congrats to Mooresville’s Deborah Ray, whose holiday stresses for this year probably disappeared last week. Oh, and 3 more of those $150k top prizes in the game remained unclaimed. So, good luck to you as well.
