Things to Do in Asheville, North Carolina This Fall
It’s that time of year! It’s fall, y’all! Fall season is my favorite, but I know it is lots of people’s favorite season. It’s not too hot, not too cold and the fall colors are always beautiful. Plus, this time of year allows you to enjoy all of the best things to do during the fall like pumpkin patches, haunted houses, apple orchards, and more!
One of the best things about North Carolina is that we have so many mountain towns that you can really indulge in for the fall and winter seasons. One of the most popular is Asheville! I have visited the area a few times and the views are the most beautiful thing I have ever seen! But, if you have never visited then you may wonder what exactly is there to do in Asheville. So, I decided to gather a list of a few things to do in Asheville this fall. Check it out and get to planning your trip!
Things to Do in Asheville, North Carolina
Go Hiking: Of course, hiking through the mountains and seeing those fall colors up close and personal is one of the must do things in Asheville. There are casual, easy strolls for beginners and intense hikes for the experts. You can check out one of the many state parks in the area and put those hiking shoes to work.
Brewery Visit: Breweries are pretty popular throughout the year, but during the fall season there are tons of events and seasonal beer flavors for you to enjoy. Highland Brewing Company is one of the oldest breweries in Asheville that people can still visit today and enjoy some local flavors.
Hot Air Balloon Ride: Here is one of my favorite things I am ready to experience is a ride on a hot air balloon. Asheville Balloon Company is your chance to experience Asheville from up and above. Imagine floating near the mountain tops and seeing those pretty fall colors from up above.
Eliada Corn Maze: One thing that Ashveille does annually is their Eliada Corn Maze for folks to enjoy during the fall. Besides it being a large corn maze for visitors, there are also other activities for the family to enjoy. You can hop on a tractor, shoot corn cannons, take family photos, and just have some fall fun.
If you have not been to Asheville before, then maybe you should give it a visit this fall season. Although the drive can be interesting with the mountain views right there up close, it’s definitely worth it. Downtown Asheville, restaurants, great hotels, cool Airbnbs, and so much more. It’s a pretty, quaint mountain town and worth a road trip.
